Around 50 young people attend each week and enjoy all the activities on offer. This cafe has been running since 2007 and attracts young people from every school year. It is held in the school canteen between 3pm and 5pm.

During 2012, the Youth Cafe is joining with over 30 other youth groups in the area to get involved with Olympic Competitions including ‘Digital Games’! ‘Digital games’ is a computer game competition we have designed which will allow any young person to compete and have fun with their friends.

We are writing instructions about how you can run your own Digital Games and this will be available on our Cafe 2012 website!

This week we interviews a few of the young people at the Cafe asking them what they enjoy about it and how they get involved.

The Pitstone Parish Council have been planning the Youth Café for over a year and the first night was a great success.

Lot’s of local people have volunteered to help each week at the café and each of them bring their own experience and skills.

The Youth Café is based in the Ivinghoe School Hall and there is plenty of activities for the young people to enjoy.

Ben Barnes (AVYFC) is the Café Manager and Joel Gregory (AVYFC) is the support worker.

A number of local young people came along and had a great evening!

The Prebendal Farm Management Committee worked with Bucks County Council to produce this video clip which demonstrates the amazing partnership work that has helped these groups get off the ground.

There are two groups starting in Prebendal Farm. Both groups have been set-up in partnership with the Prebendal Farm Community Centre Management Committee with support from Bucks County Council, Aylesbury Vale District Council, Aylesbury Town Council and the Vale of Aylesbury Housing Trust, Aylesbury Youth Concern and Aylesbury Vale Youth for Christ.

The Youth Café runs after school between 4:30pm and 6:30pm and is aimed at school years 7-10

The Youth Group runs between 7pm-9pm and is aimed at school years 10-13.
